Ischgl has not only one of the longest established ski schools in the Tyrolean Alps but also in Austria as a whole. The “Schneesport Akademie” guarantees that the expectations of the young and not so young are soon fulfilled in this fantastic Tyrolean skiing area, regardless of whether on a snowboard, downhill, telemark or cross-country skis, on the slopes, in the halfpipe or open country. More than 100 highly trained and certified snow sports instructors are waiting to show you that every beginning is above all: fun!
There is a course for everyone at the ski school in Ischgl: whether it’s a three-year old who wants to get their first taste of skiing or a teenager eager to get onto the “proper” slopes, someone who wants to get back on the boards after a lengthy break or whether you are an advanced skier with ambitions to race, for whom the latest equipment is never fast enough.
Those who want to have private lessons to perfect their skills, can reckon with the undivided attention of a personal ski instructor. This is the best method for learning new techniques fast and well or eliminating faults.
The Ischgl ski school also provides a rather exceptional service: the “no handicap courses” in the “Schneesport Akademie”. These include courses for guests with impaired sight, who require comprehensive supervision. The ski instructor will collect the person concerned from his hotel. In Ischgl, even people with disabilities have the opportunity to learn how to ski and and snowboard.
There are also fantastic opportunities for special courses such as deep snow skiing and firn (granular snow) trail training. You can learn the classic “telemark” technique and go freeriding, ski touring or even snowshoeing under expert supervision.
There’s nowhere like the “Schneesport Akademie” in Ischgl for learning the pleasures of winter sports to perfection!
